School Pictures

My friend hasn't been happy with the pictures that she has been getting from the school for her sons school pictures. I told her I would take a couple of them for her. These are just two of the many that I took...I think the above one was his best smile and the one on the bottom was my favorite even though he isn't smiling. I love it. Play time

Eliana was helping me practice my posing and she really wasn't wanting to for the most part but was willing to let me take this one shot of her. Isn't that sweet of her? Though today it wasn't really about her so that was ok, I was actually there to take some pictures of a friends little boy for his 18 month pictures. I will post some of them on my new page www.staceylynnportraits.com if you are interested in seeing them but it will probably be a couple of days before i get to that because I only have a moment right now. Eliana is getting hungry.
Life in the Wix, household have pretty good. I started my new job at Sears Portrait studio about 2 weeks ago and it's going well and Eliana began going to her Day Care last week, she is still adjusting to it. Hopefully things get better in that department. Chris begins school next week and is preparing for that. He just got his old jeep running again which helps us out a lot when we are going different directions everyday.

Happy 4th of July

We hope that everyone enjoyed their fourth of July. We went to a friends house and had a BBQ. Then after we went to go see fireworks. In our friends backyard there is a pretty large yard and I thought we could take some pics of Eliana while we were there. I think they turned out pretty cute.
The ones on the top are at our house I got a little pool for Eliana because it has been getting pretty hot here.

Playing in the Park

We went to the park the other day with a friend of ours from church and her son, Wyatt. So Eliana and Him could finally get out side and play, because we had good weather here finally (though that night it ended up snowing...that's a whole different story). I wanted to get some good pictures of Wyatt so I could add them to my portfolio but He wasn't really in a good mood and wouldn't pay attention that day which wasn't like him at all...just goes to show you shouldn't try to take pictures of a toddler on there first trip outside since winter. To much to look at to much to pull out of the ground. I ended up with more pictures of Eliana that look a lot like the last ones I took. But I had to put the fountain photo in because she looks like a Giant in this photo, not really sure why. Thought it was cute.

It's been awhile

Well it has been a long time since the last time that I wrote...we have been very busy with traveling and also we have had family here for 3 weeks. Though lately no one has been here I admittedly have been lazy. We went to Lubbock to see some of our friends for a week and to also see our last AIM class graduate. It's amazing to see our aimers come off the field and they have become whole different people...it's amazing how God works through people.

Eliana is now about 23 pounds...not quite sure how tall she is now but she is a pretty tall little girl but then again I think she is pretty average for her age group. Her favorite words right now are two and three but she kind of combines them into one word. She also says "kitty", "Gucci" (the cats name), "ouch" and what else is new for her to say...it's hard to say because she is really trying to copy our words right now she is always saying something new it's if she remembers how to say it later is the real question.

I got a new camera in hopes that it will help me to further my photography, My mom also got me an Adobe program for Christmas and the above is the result of both of those at work....and a little late night work when I couldn't sleep. I had a lot of pics to choose from and everyone seems to have their own favorite these are a couple of them.

My Big Girl

Eliana is getting really big... after taking these pictures I realized how much my baby doesn't look like a baby anymore but a toddler! My baby is growing up. I cut her bangs because they were getting in her face and it was really beginning to bother me. But the reality moment of when I realized how bad it was when I was at the store to pick up some random items one of them being a small pair of scissors for myself and the check out clerk looked at Eliana and said "Oh you going to cut her bangs so you can see her beautiful face..." to which I quickly replied, "um...yes." LOL. Oh well the cutting didn't go as planned I cut a little to high, but she still looks cute. Don't think she could look bad even if I went in zig zags.
